So about a month ago, I heard a certain song on the radio, and I thought it would be awesome for an Aiba fanvideo. So I said to myself "Hey, Christmas is right around the corner! How about realizing that inspiration and actually contributing to fandom for a change?". So I opened up my Sony Vegas *cough* which I of course was fully familiar and comfortable with *cough snort* and in no time at all a rough, first version of my masterpiece was done. *cough hack wheeze*

Yeah right. -___-""


Anyway, it IS done now, never mind how many hours I actually spent on this monster. And never mind that I am SICK of it by now and can't judge for myself if it's actually any good anymore. I'll watch it again in two months and try to be objective about it then.

... to careline18's post over here. Because it maybe looks a little more unrefined (and even though I kinda like taijiproject's translation better), I think it still conveys the same message, on the same emotional level. And I think it's really interesting how both vid makers used some scenes, at the same parts of the song or at different parts. ^^







For this one, I love the fade-in between the Everything PV studio and the AAA06 Dome concerts with the giant balloons, with the little bells in the music (I always get goose-bumps from that, no matter how many times I watch), and more than anything the scene at "eien ga boku to kimi dake ni umaretanda", where the audience waves in time with the beaming Oh-chan. That scene pretty much is the essence of the whole "thank you" message for me.


I have a performance today plus training later and I've slept, what? Three and a half hours? Yay me. \o/ Performance just got canceled. Whatever, wasn't really in the mood for it anyway. XD

Somebody explain to me why a relatively small fandom like Arashi's needs two dozen fansub groups, half of which only have, like, FIVE members, and you need to sign up for every single one separately? With so many different groups, aren't double releases inevitable? Wouldn't it be a lot more effective, social, and way easier if the new subbers just joined already existing groups, or if the mini-groups fused or at least collaborated, which would also reduce Japanese and/or English Fail? Because seriously, a week ago I downloaded a subbed VS episode that I turned off after five minutes because I just couldn't take the English suckage anymore. What the hell is up with that? Of course people who aren't so good at English should still work as translators if their Japanese is good enough, but is it so fucking hard to ask somebody to QC the English subs for grammar mistakes? If ff authors need betas, shouldn't it be common sense that subbers need betas, too? (I'm seriously thinking about pointing that out to the subber in question...)

Best drama: Mr. Brain (I think if this was dubbed you could just let it run in the German evening programs alongside NCIS and Numb3rs. Seriously.)

Best lead actor: Sakurai Sho (well, duh)

Best lead actress: Ueto Aya (I don't understand why Haruno qualifies as a lead role but Izumi doesn't. >__>" )

Best supporting actor: Oguri Shun (I really had problems voting in this category, there are too many brilliant roles in there. >__<)

Best supporting actress: Kato Ai


Hrm... well, at least that covers every drama I've watched this season. v_v

Years ago, I think it was when I was about 13 or 14... I'm not sure of the details anymore, since it was such a long time ago...one afternoon, when my mum had to work and I came back from school, and called the family my younger brother stayed at when school ended earlier for him than it did for me... my brother wasn't with them.
He hadn't come to their house that day.
My brother is six years younger than me. Of course he didn't have a cell back then.
Anyway, I started calling around all of his friends' houses, and other people I thought he could be at.
One or two or three hours later, it turned out he had been at a neighbor's house, who must have not heard me ringing his doorbell, or maybe I thought he wasn't home and didn't even try his house.
Anyway, when my brother came in the door I yelled at him what the heck he had been thinking. Then I clung to him and bawled my eyes out.

When I watched Konkatsu! episode 7 today, and more or less the exact same thing happened with one of the main characters and her son, when she was hugging him and crying, I became teary-eyed.


I love dramas like Konkatsu. Dramas where actually not all that much is going on, dramas that are mostly just about human life. Dramas that thrive on the cinematography and the character development (and the relationships between the characters) alone. Like Yasashii Jikan, or Voice, or (I guess, I've only watched the STORMY subbed eps so far) Namida wo fuite.

Thrilling plots like TQS or Majo Saiban make me sit on the edge of my seat. Romances like HanaDan or Hana Kimi (Taiwan :P), or It Started with a Kiss make me go all flaily and awwwwww.

Dramas like Konkatsu make me feel warm and content inside.

( Majo Saiban 7 review from hell. I decided to write down my thoughts while I was watching because I always feel like I've forgotten half of what was going through my head by the time I've finished one episode. So this is extreeeeeeemely long and random and rambly. I really only got rid of the spelling mistakes before copying and pasting it from Word into the lj entry editor. Don't say I didn't warn you. )


Oh my God I am so hyped up my hands are trembling a tiny little bit.
But that's probably from the lack of sleep and the coffee.
Seriously, I don't know what I'm looking forward to more at the moment, Majo Saiban or The Quiz Show. This drama season is going to give me a stroke one of these days.

Kesa no kanji no tesuto: DAI SHIPPAI. I wasn’t there last week so I didn’t know we were writing a test today and I didn’t study at all.
Not that that’s an excuse. Half of those kanji I should have known for at least a year now.
I can read them all without problems, but my writing skills are pathetically non-existent. Have to do something about that.

I originally had three people sleeping at my place for the Animagic and one of them (Sadly T__T) decided not to come. So there’s an opening. Just so you know.
